On May 21, MTV, BET and Nick aired a two-hour special, “See Us Unite For Change - The Asian American Foundation (TAAF) in service of the AAPI Community. It was a special night of advocacy, entertainment, and important conversation about supporting the AAPI community.

Our team was asked to create and produce two pieces of custom content for our Frito-Lay client which aired during the SeeUs special that highlights the diverse stories and faces of the AAPI community within a tight 10 say turnaround with the help of our vendor, Studio Junbi.

The first custom content was a :45 spot that highlighted voices and images within the community. To pull this off, we reached out to ViacomCBS’ and FritoLay’s Asian ERG group as well as Velocity’s #NotYourModelMinority to contribute a sentence that describes what they value most about their culture, family, upbringing, the importance of representation, the power and potential of this community, and the diversity of the community or anything else they feel is important to share.

The second spot was an adjacent billboard with sponsor FritoLay after a PSA with Awkwafina.
